100 Days
It's been 100 days since birth. I feel like I've already lived three lifetimes when I look back to the first photos, and remember holding Margo minutes... seconds after she was born. Taking shifts staying awake with her, the trials and tribulations of both mother and child learning how to breastfeed, Margo's first cold.
I still find it funny that I well with pride when Margo hits a new developmental mark: opening her eyes, following objects with her eyes, her neck becoming strong enough to support her head, grabbing on to things. Every baby will do these things, but to me, it doesn't matter who did what when... SHE did it... just now. L'enfer, c'est les autres, mais le Paradis, c'est ta propre fille.
I'm fading fast here. We're leaving for the airport in less than four hours, and I will have to find about eight hours in that time period to get my beauty rest. Life is kind of ironic... the times when you get the least sleep are the most critical, like the all-nighter before an exam, basic training, where they keep you awake for days even though you're carrying a loaded weapon, and when you become a parent, in charge of your own children, on 2-3 hours of sleep, maybe.
For the record, Margo is a pretty good sleeper, so I can't complain.
Thank you for all the great advice on parenting and flattering remarks about the blog.
Here's a chronological chronical of the Life and Times of Margo LaDouce, Aged 3 months and 1 Week.

There is no child like our child eh, Michel and Donna.
Margo is such a darling, you can't help but smile when you look at her.
I tell you, I am bragging at my end here. People know that I have a new granddaughter.
I have loved Olivier and Nanaiyu for quite a while, now, also.
It is a great feeling to be a grandmaman.
