Just Margo and I
Michel left for Toronto this morning, for a three day work trip. (Poor guy, he had to wake up at 4 am to catch his 6 am flight. I was in lala land - I'm assuming he made it, as he's not here)
So it's Miss Margo and I for the next 60 hours. While I'm relatively confident in my parenting abilities, that's a little long with no papa support to draw on. I'm trying to plan activities that will get us out of the house, and interacting with adults. Too much baby talk turns mama's brain into mush. Today's agenda includes a "how to make your own baby food" workshop this afternoon (I think it's just cook and mush up, but Icould be wrong), followed by a visit to Em's, followed by a visit this evening from L, a devoted reader who has not yet met Margo. .jpg)
Christmas is just around the corner . . we leave in just 2 weeks! (Woah, just looked at the calendar. That's soon!) . . I still feel as though I have lots to do. The internet has made shopping waaay easy. Although I have told myself that buying presents for a baby is plain silliness, I have not been able to resist splurging on a few things. This kid grows fast, so a few items of clothing were necessary. I also bought her the cutest pair of Lucky Piggies. They arrived yesterday, and they're beautiful! Handmade from 90% reclaimed materials, they should fit her soon. They came in a beautiful box, delivery was free, AND the owner contacted me herself to ensure I had received them. Kudos to Melanie, the mom behind this great company. Go there now and check out her lovely stock.

I also won a hoodie for Margo over at Cool Mom Picks. I'm a little in shock that my name was selected. I never win things! It hasn't arrived yet, but I've been in touch with Allison at Hand Picked Pumpkin and put in my order for the Collin Hoodie. So adorable, and since it costs a whopping $64, as lovely as it is, it's not something I would have purchased myself, even given my extreme penchant for all things hoodie. Hopefully it will arrive in time for Christmas.
I've got my eyes set on getting Christmas cards out by Monday, which means I will have to try and snap an adorable photo of Margo to slip in those cards. There are many to choose from on our hard drive, but I'd like to get one that's slightly more Christmassy. Might try a photo shoot this am.
Margobelle is sleeping for the time being . . i better use this time wisely!

The Lucky Pigs are so adorable, how can you resist?
If I don't get in touch with you before you leave, have a great trip. It won't be difficult to show off your prize possession. No Michel, I don't mean you. I hope Margo travels well. I guess we'll soon find out.
