One Little White Horse, on a Red Hill
A tooth! A tooth!
This evening, Donna noticed that Margo's first little nibble soldier broke through her bottom gum. Sorry, no photos... Margo is not willing to have her tongue pushed aside to photograph the insides of her mouth.
So there you have it. At 4 months, is this early? She's not breaking records, but let's put it this way: she's likely to inherit the family genes of being a very effective eater.
It's funny how we can hypothesize and theorize all we want, but only hindsight is 20/20. In the past few weeks, her cheeks have been red, she's been drooling like a bulldog at a peanut butter eating competition, her mood swings have been more eventful than a roller-coaster, and her bowel movements (a.k.a. poop) have been as green as saag paneer. That last symptom was a surprise to me, but dedicated mother Donna read up on it. Yes, we knew that teeth were coming because of these cues, but had no idea if it was a matter of days or months.
Today, she was happy, laughing at brunch guests, had a long nap, and ate frequently. This is where the hindsight came in - I guess today was the day, and some of the pressure on her gums was relieved.
I'm proud of you, little girl. Soon, I'm sure that the Tooth Fairy will be swinging by to collect that very tooth.
Oh, and for your information, Grandpapa has false teeth. He's freaked out at least one of your cousins by taking them out, so I thought that I should warn you that not all teeth are the kind that you keep in your mouth all the time. Sometimes you learn stuff from other people's hindsight.

Congratulations, Margo, I think that that was a long time coming.
Poor little sweetie.Alot of pain for one tooth, and the trouble is that there is more.
Julie had 4 front teeth that came in all at once.
I never noticed anything about the poop though, my goodness, to much information.

How come Grandmaman remembers that? I've asked her countless questions about my magnificent birth and she remembers nada. Anyway... she still loves me more. Oh. Did I say that out loud?
