4 months old
Dear Margo-girl,
You're four months old today, baby girl. You're really fun these days, with lots of toothless grins, giggles, and head bobbling. (This is not due to a shaky neck, I think it's simply your personality shining through). You're growing so fast, having just outgrown your
car seat, and sooo many clothes. Your recent physical developments mean that we can't leave you on your change table anymore, but you are now big enough to try out your exersaucer and your new bumbo seat. (This was aquired just yesterday, and you really seem to like it).
We're currently trying to teach you to fall asleep on your own. You don't seem to like this very much - and your crying has made me cry a few times already. I have worried that you feel abandoned, so in case this new way of falling asleep leaves lasting feelings of desertion -- I am writing it here: I love you, I love you, I love you. (I feel a little better now).
Tomorrow we're starting a yoga class, and next week a singing/story time. You seem to like hanging with other babies, and even waved your arms today in front of a baby named Max at Bridgehead, trying to get his attention. He was too busy looking out the window (you didn't take it personnally, and quickly moved on to another target). I like that about you. Easily distracted at this age, but always willing to try being social.

You charm everyone you meet, and I feel so proud walking around with you in my arms. You're a very expressive baby and it's fun to see you get excited. I'm so looking forward to this next month, and all the months to come.
Love, love, love,
Love, love, love,
Mommy
