Filth and Nature, My Old Friends
Mobility, though mostly a great leap forward, does have its down side. Notably, we can never be sure that the girl will be where we last put her down. It's inconvenient, to say the least, especially now that we've redecorated the spare room into the more contemporary Broken Glass and Rusty Nails motif.
It's not for everybody, but our real estate agent promises that it will show well to stupid people with skads of money.
Seriously, Margo's mobility also means that we can't let her "air out." As an experiment, wear a diaper 24/7 for a week, with 15 minutes every other day for bathtime and you'll see what I'm getting at. (fyi, I'm sure that Telefilm Canada or the Canada Council for the Arts would give you a grant to perform this experiment on film)
The odd occasion where we can let her air out is when it's nice outside and we have some spare time to raise her all freerange-like. We take the diaper off and let the chips fall where they may. For comfort, we put her on a nice Calgary Flames blanket, but are in no means commenting on their performance.
Anyway, Margo likes it. She likes the getting dirty part. She likes the green leaves. She likes the moving insects part. She likes not having a diaper on. Photographic evidence.

She also loves eating raspberries under the tree in the backyard. Just wanted to explain the red rimmed mouth, lest you think she has a weird affection for blood sucking.
1:45 p.m.
Raspberries? Did you say raspberries? Somehow, somewhere, I missed the stage between going from breast-fed to whole foods. Why it should surprise me, I don't know. I mean, the child does speak sign language and climbs mountains. Why not a raspberries. eh? Are the diapers full of seeds? Just asking.
If she gets this happy in mud, I can't wait for her perfunctory 1st birthday where she dives into her dark chocolate cake with swan like precision. Now that I think of it, so much caffeine from the chocolate will have her diving, alright.
Take lots of pictures. Oh...who am I talking to.
Love y'all

Oh yes, Tati J. Margo is a lover of food (she's our daughter after all). She gets lovely things to eat, all made by me. This week she tried Mango Chicken with Brown Rice, Shepherd's Pie, and Organic Salmon with Brown Rice and Spinach. She of course prefers fruit to all of this, so we sometimes have to dip her salmon, beef, lentils, into applesauce to get her to eat it. Whatever works!
1:42 a.m.
She sure loves the outside alright.
Grass, gravel, dirt, sand, bugs, it's all the same road for her.She sure likes to look for something new. Wait till she walks then she will keep you hopping.
Food, it's true she tries it all.
I could not get over her eating more than half of cup of food everytime she sits in her chair. It's one spoonful after another, she likes it coming fast.
Of course, it's darn good food, good work Donna.
