Rejection at the Park

I think you could hear my heart break.

It was bound to happen, and I'm sure it's not the last time. Although it was crisp out yesterday, I decided to get Margo into her fleece suit and head to the park. It wasn't raining, and I could see that there were lots of kids at the park. Margo loves to watch all the bigger kids running around in circles; her eyes get big and she gets the biggest grin on her face.

Yesterday was no different, and almost immediately she headed over to a play structure where a three year old girl (I'm guessing) was raking sand. You know, 'cause it's fun. Margo stood up nice and tall and started bouncing in glee. The other kid was looking at Margo, so I piped in "I think she's saying hello. She can't talk yet though." This wretch kid then shot my precious baby a disgusted look and flounced off to sandier sand boxes. (The tot lot's version of greener pastures).

Margo of course didn't really notice and quickly crawled off to watch another kid slide down the slide. But I swear that my heart smashed on that wooden play structure.

How could anyone reject this?

Seriously.

- Donna

(Ps - Grandmaman lands in 5 hours!! - I would add the counter but not sure where the image is stored. Consider this a countdown.)
