Droolia Roberts

Let me introduce you to a new segment on the Margoville Gazette: the Grandmaman Watch. In 11 days, a little bit of Winnipeg comes to town to visit the girl, and I thought it right to count down to the event in style. I can't say that it's a tasteful style... it's just A style.

A little bit about Grandmaman:

  • We call her "Mom," grandkids call her "Grandmaman." Nephews and Nieces get away with "Matama" (MATAnte emMA) and her siblings use " 'ti Ma."
  • I'm her favourite child, out of five potential choices.
  • She likes Donna.
  • Margo? Oh, you better believe she likes Margo.
  • She's an experienced grandmother, but doesn't like it when we include pets in the grandchild count.
  • She likes rose as a colour. I think as a flower too.
  • She wasn't particularily impressed when I used Pledge on the kitchen floor and then forgot to tell her. I don't know... I was experimenting... she seems to have forgiven me.

My apologies to SK Grandma for not doing this when you came. You're a pretty classy lady too, I was just too pre-occupied when you came. Margo is sound asleep right now, and idle hands are the work of the devilled eggs.

------------------------

Margo cought another cold... well, not really a bad cold, and she seems partially over it, but this one manifested itself with a runny nose. The weird thing this time around is that she's drooling. A lot.

When I got home, Donna came to meet me with Margo, and the first thing she said was "she's been drooling... a LOT." That didn't really prepare me for the evening ahead. I swear to god that there was more liquid in the bath when I pulled her out then before I put her in.

I don't know if this is teething or remnants of a cold, or maybe spring allergies, but she's drooling so much that her chin and beneath her bottom lip have rashes. Crazy drool.

I leave you with comparative evidence.

- Michel
