Is... Is She Walking?

I would like to say that we, as parents, are monitoring every little move that Margo makes, catching everything, picking up on all the little nuances.
Sometimes, the biggies slip by the first time around, and Margo pretty much has to clear her throat to get our attention and do it over again.

We were having supper, and all of a sudden, Donna noticed that Margo was on the other end of the coffee table, but neither of us had seen her get down on the ground and crawl to the other end. So, social scientist that she is, Donna tested her hypothesis, putting a reward out of reach to see what the girl would do.

It must be said that Margo was doing her best puppy-dog impersonation, standing right by us, watching the food be lifted from our plates to our mouths, and then whimpering. (She had already eaten by that point.) In this case, the "reward" was a bean. Fêves au lard, sans le lard, merci.

Full research grant to Donna, because Margo, grunting away, using the coffee table as a support, walked about a metre to the bean. Again. And again. And again.

The big question is where will she go from here? Was she so engrossed by the food that she did it without thinking, not to be repeated? Will she refuse to crawl and only want to walk? Will she refuse all other food in favour of beans?

You're 7½ months old, Margo; no need to push it. Remember to stop and grunt at the roses.

7½.

Some are motivated by money. Power. Fame.

In our families, it's comfort food.

*sigh*

Nana and I watched the Video today, of Margo edging herself to the other end of the coffee table, to get her reward.
She was working really hard for it,you could hear it in her voice.
She is strong on her legs, she will be doing the steps without help, soon, I bet.
