First Step!
Margo took her first step on Sunday!
Fireworks didn't go off, dramatic music didn't start playing when it happened... to be completely honest, I don't think Margo even realized that she took her first step. Nor did she realize it seconds later the next time she did it. As predicted (in accordance to prophesy), she momentarily forgot that she couldn't walk, and stepped forward instead of dropping to the ground to crawl to whatever it was that she was reaching for. Minou, I think.
So far, she has only taken one unassisted step at a time. Next step will be to get her to realize that she can do it, and string a few steps together. And we don't want to push her, but we've got her scheduled to run the New Year's half-marathon, so... she really should be training a little harder.
Small steps, Margo. We love you.

. . and meanwhile, since I was upstairs when this alleged first step occured, I am willing to count the first step she does in front of Mama's eyes as the one that really counts. Oh, the sacrifices I must make ... but seeing as how Margo is starting integration to daycare TOMORROW(!) - (more on that later) it may be a long while before I see Margo take a step. Going to go and cry under my desk now. . .

Bravo Margo, you did it.
I'm sure before to long you will be showing off, walking across the room.
I am anxious to see a video of what you are doing.
In fact, when your 1yr.old Birthday comes around you might be doing marvels.
I can see you having fun with this.
If you were proud of climbing footstools and sofas, you will be ecstatic when you major more steps, and to be able to get around standing up. Congratulations.
