Interpretation

They say that babies can't speak, but they can communicate. There are subtleties in what Margo does that tips us off as to what's going on in her mind. I haven't been able to figure out all of her signals, but I think that this one means something along the lines of "I'm a punk rocker, down with authority, anarchy rules" or "frig off, eh, I'm yawning."

The only signal that cannot be misconstrued as anything but its intended meaning is "I am unhappy." 10-40, good buddy, you're coming in loud and clear on that one, with a big "L" on "loud." When this happens, we try pretty much anything that works to calm her down. This week, cycling her legs and making the "fththththth" sound with your tongue seems to work. Monkey sounds worked a few weeks ago. Next week, the sound of hitting our heads with planks of wood will probably work.

----------------

Donna cooks wonderfully. And she bakes quite well too. I can only imagine that some of this will rub off on Margo. For the time being, however, our daughter will have to fill the role of official observer. Or official critic, a kind of you missed a spot colour commentator.

I can't stand it, she's so frigging cute.

Got your thank you note today and I'm pleased about the comment about the comments. I was worried that I'd be too repetitive with, "Damn she's too friggin cute".

Hope this finds all 3 of you well and rested. The lessons just keep coming so there's no time to schoff off. Unless, of course, Margo feels sorry for you and relents on your homework from time to time.

God, she's so frickin cute!

No, no! The Comments are what we live for.

Ok, a bit of an overstatement, as that would be a pretty sad kinda life. But we really do enjoy the comments. (An enamored Tati is always a good thing!)
