Grandma's Here, Grandma's Here!
Margo's Grandma Monica (also known to some at this keyboard as MOther MOnica, or MoMo), arrived late last night. We were able to surprise her by bringing the baby along to the airport.The photo at the right has been a pretty constant sight so far. I think that Margo has NOT been in someone's arms over the past day for all of 3 minutes. (She also screamed bloody murder for 3 minutes today... there's probably a correlation.)
Anyway, Grandma's here, which is good for the baby, but rotten for us. So far, I have had to pour my own cereal this morning, reheat my own leftovers at noon, and unwrap my own granola bar. What a gip! I was promised a non-stop smorgasbord of pies and roasts and high-fat side dishes. Classic example of the old Bait'n'Switch grift.

Aren't they cute the two of them? I still think it's a conspiracy to set Margo against us all because she felt Gramma's love first. I'm going out first thing tomorrow morning to buy her a car. Or maybe I'll just go to Starbucks.

Funny to think that even if you bought her a new 2006 car, it would still be a little on the old side by the time that she's able to drive it (legally). Also, cars will be able to fly by 2022, and will run on either air or plutonium, as is my understanding from Archie comics.
I still applaud your bribery attempt. The car one, not the Starbucks one.
