Getting Along

I think that it's safe to say that the Margo-Maude relationship has moved from quasi-tolerance to full-on acceptance. AND... I'm very happy to say that it was more than just Margo saying "well, I can't get rid of you, might as well get used to you."

Here's my theory: if you remember from an earlier post, Margo was cool until Maude did anything even remotely close to her, at which point Margo would put her in her place, usually with a "NO, Maude!!!" On the flip side, though, Maude has been into Margo since... well, she had her at "Hello."

And then Maude learnt to laugh, and Margo learnt the power of performing before a live, studio audience. Maude was, in the parlance of the day, an "easy crowd," and Margo soon learnt that performers had a certain obligation to their roadies.

From that point on, Margo's been pretty sweet to Maude, excited to have her sleep in the same room as her, really into the idea of taking a bath together, and finding the humour in having Maude wear her gigantic clothes for fun. It has even come to the point where Donna brought Maude in for a goodnight hug and kiss from Margo, who was having bedtime stories read to her, and Margo summoned Donna back because the hug & kiss was unsatisfactory.

Who knew that they would eventually become sisters?
