Christmas 2008, part 2

Christmas Eve. Margo is off from daycare until the new year. Maude's tooth broke through and is front and centre in her mouth. We all went for a family party at my work, and Margo got to run down long corridors in a sugar-induced-surrounded-by-other-kids frenzy. Santa even made a quick appearance to hand out a gift before he started on his Christmas delivery route.

Margo and Donna made sure to leave cookies for Santa. Though this might seem like bribery, I assure you that they were left with the best intentions.

Post-Margo bedtime, the last of the gifts are wrapped, Donna logged a good three-and-a-half hours in the kitchen for a couple of dishes for tomorrow. Maude was held and rocked and nursed to keep from screaming.

You know what... I'm exhausted, and if I'm exhausted, then that means that I should check in on Donna in her bath to make sure that she didn't fall asleep underwater.

Here's Margo's reaction after we decorated the tree and we plugged the lights in.

And Margo and Donna preparing cookies for Santa.

Merry Christmas! Baby's first Christmas!
