Two months old

Dear Maude,

Your second month has come and gone. In this short time, you've been busy You've met your Grandmaman and your Auntie Laurie. You've rolled over from front to back. Your neck is super strong and you're able to stand on your legs and support your body. I'm not sure, but I think that is a bit early. You've had your first bath with Mama, your first Halloween (you were a ghost), and next week you'll be getting your first shots (I think the first two things were likely more fun than what's to come.). At last weigh in (a few weeks ago now) you weighed 11 lbs, and have been gaining very well.

You are happy on your change table checking out your mobile, like to be held a lot, and are starting to enjoy yourself on your play mat and in your swing a little more each day. Papa thinks that you respond to laughter, and that's good, because there's quite a bit of it in this house these days. You love to smile at strangers, and everyone admires your beautiful bountiful head of hair. That grabs them at first, but your smiles make them stick around.

I have really been enjoying this time with you. Long afternoons spent cudding in bed, nose to nose. Having been through this once before, I know now how fleeting this time is, and I am loving every second of it.

Love you always,

Mama

A - Maude
B - Margo

Eyes and nose are subtly different but their mouths are identical! Amazing!

Love,
